Senderlogos/picons im OLED-Display der Dreambox 800 SE

You are looking for station logos, so-called picons for yours Dreambox 800 SE?
How’s it going and what do you need for it? Very easily:
1. You need the corresponding logos/picons as png files. The files have a special name, namely the transmitter reference of the respective transmitter on your Dreambox. The transmitter reference depends on your type of reception or your cable network operator. A suitable compilation for the cable network provider KMS Kabel Medien Service Munich can be found here.
2. These files must be copied to the correct folders on the Dreambox. A small xml file is required so that the data can be displayed correctly. A USB stick is very helpful so that the data does not have to be stored in flash memory or on a hard drive (would be permanently taken from standby).
Let’s go: In the first step, copy all picons into the following folders on the box:
/picon_old
/media/usb/picon_oled
[USB-Stick ist als /media/usb gemountet, jeder andere Mountpoint geht natürlich auch]
In order for the display to work correctly, you must also download the skin_user.xml file. The path to the picons is defined in this file, please adjust accordingly for other folder names. The file must be copied to the following folder:
/etc/enigma2
Then restart the box and admire the station logos/picons on the display.
Uploading the files works best with an FTP program. Simply connect to the IP of the Draeambox, user root and password Specify dreambox and copy the files.
Problems?
If, contrary to expectations, no picon is displayed, it is best to check in the first step whether the installed picons have the correct name. To do this, select any transmitter and call up the following menu item:
Menu -> Information -> Channel
There we die Service Reference displayed:
In this case, the following graphic must be contained in the two folders for the channel ZDF HD: 1_0_19_2B66_3F3_1_FFFF02AA_0_0_0.png
If this file is not available, you must download the correct picons for your type of reception or rename them manually.
I wish you success!
